Straight questions
I already have a website. Does it still work?
Yes. The widget fits into any site — one line to paste, as a section or a floating button. And if you don’t have a site yet, that is our first craft: we build both together.
My regulars book by phone. Will they have to change?
No. The phone remains a channel in its own right — the reservation book is designed for it: three taps to add a booking in the middle of service. The widget takes the rest, especially when you are closed.
I am also on TheFork. Does it synchronise?
No — and you should know it before you sign. In restaurants, no booking platform publishes its availability the way Booking or Airbnb do for the overnight stay: there is no equivalent of iCal. Convivos keeps your direct bookings, telephone included, and knows nothing of bookings taken elsewhere. Our zero-double-booking guarantee therefore covers what we know. If you keep both books open — during a switchover, or to leave discovery to the platform — give each one its share of the room.
And if I leave one day?
You leave with everything, with no notice period and no penalty. In self-service, the export covers your customer list in full and your bookings over the last ninety days; the complete copy is requested in writing, and it stays free. Your data is neither held back nor resold — ever.
Is there a commission on my covers?
No, and there never will be. We live on the subscription alone. No per-booking fees, no percentage, no asterisk.
What about SMS reminders?
Email confirmations and reminders are included. SMS is coming as an option, at cost price announced up front — we will not sell it before it is ready.
